CLAY POTS
Picture book concept
Home is a vessel that won’t hold water: a leaky pot. For Eny, a child whose family frequently moves to new towns, people and places slip through the cracks. When she discovers clay on a rugged West Coast beach near her new house and shapes it into a pinch pot, the tiny vessel becomes a powerful metaphor that contains both her sense of loss and her hope for a future of friendship and belonging.
Illustrations rendered in gouache and watercolor.
